Right after the denouement of the Second World War the society started to consider that the world’s main values are simple and justifiable . Both general politics and social relations were relying on the thoughts of development, positive change , faith in the logical , enlightenment , technological progress , and the ability to substantiate any phenomenon from a logical viewpoint . However , beginning from the second half of the 60’s, the world commenced to deteriorate and currently , 40 years thereafter , we find ourselves in a changed type of actuality .
We without any problems note all advancements which are given us by new technology, but we almost never are aware of the fact that there are specific thoughts which the author has put behind those inventions . One of the most important feature of their work is that in mostly they have awake the readers’ attention in books and written matter. in this case one of the most exciting success stories is that of a brilliant author John Cheever.
The achievement of Joan Rowling can be named unique as she has become the first writer in the world to earn $1 billion by authoring fairytales. She is today spending a great part of her profit on charity, battling poverty and illness. The plot of the book was found while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first decided to print her book, she has awarded her 1500 pounds together with a friendly piece of advice — to find a stable job. He was doubtful of the idea that the young author would be able to make money of writing books. Joann has demonstrated the opposite - having published a series of unparalleled fairytales, she has motivated the so-called non-reading people get back to reading.
This paper is not able to enumerate and more or less precisely list all writers who have given their gift to the today’s literature. They have been writing and putting ideas directly into the minds of the millions, and in this way were influencing the future. Thus, as we can see, these authors were not creating for relaxation only, but they were also playing a considerable role in molding the culture and the sights of a civilization of the 20th century.
